Volunteers
There is always a need for volunteers in a not-for-profit organization. Volunteering is a priceless way that you can contribute to make our mission a success. Listed below are a variety of ways you can help.
Docents
Museum docent is a title given to persons who serve as guides and educators for the institutions they serve, usually on a voluntary basis.
Our Docent Program was created by member Patricia Cox. These men and women are crucial for keeping the Museum open and interesting to visitors. All docents receive training in the Museum’s history and exhibits. If you are interested in becoming a docent, please call the Museum at 815-547-3115.
Maintenance
Keeping the museum campus looking fresh we need help with cleaning and light maintenance. This is a volunteer based assignment that requires someone willing to get a little dirty in order to keep the museum and grounds looking their best.
